internet access

One of the most important things to stress for yourself and for your educational development is the need for the newest technology. The sooner we educate ourselves on some of the newer forms of technology, the sooner we will be able to take on skills that will pay off in many of the better fields emerging out there. Reliable internet access and a high tech computer system are basically an essential part of being a successful student these days. IF you do not have something that can help you meet all of your educational goals then you are falling behind all of your fellow students.

Anyone out there who says that being a student is not about competition is probably not going to get very far in their career before they get pushed aside and learn this lesson themselves. When we are in school that is what we are constantly thinking about. At every turn we are essentially trying to diversify our education and our resume to the point where we can blast ahead of anyone in a job interview. We seek out every advantage we can have and every interesting educational experience we can take with use for the future. If you are not laying out your education is such a way as to make yourself look like your are a better student than anyone else in your class, then you are not going to get that good job and someone else will.

Now if your goals for after college include such things as mediocrity and settling in to something you don't necessarily want to do then please disregard what I am saying here. For this section of the population, and it's a large part, you can just try and enjoy yourself and not try that hard. You may not have to think that much about the future so you can just coast until you have to find a job and then you are set for life. Personally though, this does not sound like the ethic of someone who is spending four years and a boat load of money on gaining a leg up on those without it. This sounds like someone who has not committed to what they have really set out to do and that is to be a successful citizen in society.
