Endowment Express Selling Endowment Policies Specializing in endowment surrender, endowment sales & TEPS I am currently working for the University of Wisconsin Foundation, I call alumni and ask for donations to help different programs in the University. From lowering tuition to scholarships I raise it all, I normally have alumni just pledge over the phone using either a check or a credit card but I came across something I was not used today. I was calling an older alumni who informed me after I was telling him the importance of giving back to the university, that he has an endowment for the University. He told me it makes his gift more valuable and that we no longer needed to call him every year because his endowment takes care of his donations for an extended period of time. I did not argue with the gentlemen instead I asked around seeing if anyone knew more about endowments. I guess they are somewhat common at the university but no one could tell me much else. I decided to do some research on my own after I got home from work. I searched “endowments” on yahoo and was hopping I would find an answer.
I came across a website called www.endowmentexpress.co.uk I was instantly intrigued, I thought thatendowments were purely for donation purposes but I saw on the web site that you could sell endowments. I am still not one hundred percent certain on the endowment policy so I assumed it is very possible to have endowment sales online. I have heard of endowment surrender, when someone can no longer afford the endowment that they previously created so I felt that I was not completely in the dark. I guess that if you are in a financial crisis you can sell your endowment or even sell endowment policy so you have one less burden to bare. While going through the website I felt that it specialized in selling endowment polices for other people and made profits on endowment sales. The site also talked about TEPS which I am going to have to look up because I wasn’t able to find specific information about what it was or does. I hope that one day I am financially well off enough to have an endowment for the university as well, even more so now that I understand them better.
