college education

I have been considering returning to school and have been looking into the best careers. One of the best careers is an attorney, but I am feeling that quite honestly is going to require more education than I can handle. I do want to get a college education, but I don't want to get bogged down going to classes all the time. I am currently working full time, but it is a dead end job and I know this. I really am at a time in my life where I am seeing people that I consider to be less intelligent than myself making a lot more money for themselves just because they have a college degree. I don't agree with this philosophy, but it is the way our society works and common sense and hard work don't bring in the kind of money that a silly piece of paper does.

I have checked with a local university and they said that I should be eligible for student loans if I can't get any college scholarships. I really am hoping that I can get a few scholarships even if they are small, it will reduce the amount of money I will have to pay back in the end. I read a few student loan articles and all of them suggested to take out as few student loans as possible. They said that a lot of people just take student loans like they are free money when they are in school and then when they get out, they can't believe how much their monthly payments are. These articles said that many students take out loans to pay for housing, food and even for a new car. They said that over doing it in this way is a big mistake that these students are paying for in a big way, if they get out of school and can't immediately get the high paying job they were counting on.

I have also been considering taking some online education classes to help me better manage working and going to school at the same time. I think it would be good to squeeze in my classes where they fit into my life, and not be tied to an exact class schedule that might get messed up by my work schedule.

I any case, I am really looking forward to this return to school and the brighter future that awaits me at the end.
