About Me:

I am currently a graduate student under Dr. Walker Ashley at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. While here I have been a teaching assistant for a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. Specifically, these courses are MET 300, MET 320, MET 410, MET 444, GEOG 455, and GEOG 460. For a description of these classes, please visit this link.

Interests:

I am interested in wide variety of topics in the field of meteorology. This is partly due to the broad spectrum of knowledge a meteorologist must be proficient in (e.g., mathematics, physics, computer programming) to be successful. My favorite topics include: operational meteorology, severe convective storms, synoptic and mesoscale processes, and GIS applications in meteorology. My thesis topic will be examining a climatology of convective environments from the North America Regional Reanalysis (NARR) project, and comparing these environments to severe weather reports.
