Being online gives you access to so many things. You can connect with the people you love and that are far away from you. You can check your grades or do your homework if you are in school. You can go on a do your banking or check your balance and you can shop (among the thousands of things that you can do). One thing that is new to me though is online gambling. Free slot games and party poker have become even more exciting because you can play in the peace and quiet of your own home. Online slots and poker are so popular right now. All of my friends are playing these games and gambling online and actually winning real money. You don't have to go to a fancy casino anymore to have a great time and win some money; you can go home and sit there in your pajamas and play. You can look for casino portals online and go from there (there are so many to chose from).

So once you are on you can play that online slot machine or black jack. You can even get a group of people together to play and gamble. Just because you aren't out in the bright lights of Vegas, dressed up and sipping cocktails doesn't mean you can't win some serious money. Sure Vegas is fun and exciting or even just going to a local casino is a thrill and you can have a good time and socialize. Some people though just like to get down and dirty and gamble without and disruptions. I remember when I was younger my dad's uncle would play cards with them but with ear plugs in. It was so weird and he had to take them out constantly to hear what other people were saying but he always said that it helped him do better. Maybe it was just a lucky charm kind of thing (I guess ear plugs aren't the ideal lucky charm though ha) but he really did believe they helped him win money and I guess if he's winning money it doesn't really matter.

But overall having that convenience of being online in your own home, whether it is playing online poker or just browsing your favorite website for tips, it is nice to be able to do it in quiet and without other people all around.

Now that I have turned 21 and most of my friends have or are this year, we are planning on a trip to Vegas this summer. It is exciting to finally be legal and we think it would be so much fun to all be able to go out together (even though we live in Chicago so there are a ton of fun things to do already) and take a trip now that we can legally gamble and drink. Of course online gambling and online slot games are fun, but being there in person is like a dream come true.

I remember when I was little watching wheel of fortune and thinking about how much fun it would be to be on the show or just to go and play games like that in person. Or even playing online bingo with friends or betting on it on the internet. They are really fun things to do, but now that we are old enough I think it is about time for the real deal. So much for free slots, we are ready to try our hand in real betting.

It almost makes me nervous to think about losing money. I doubt though that I'll actually end up betting and gambling a lot. I think we will probably go in and gamble a little just because we can but then focus our trip on all the rest of the things that Vegas has to offer like the shows and the restaurants and the drinks. It will be a great way to end the school year and meet up with everyone again. My friends from high school and I are still for the most part really close, but we all go to different schools so it is hard to find the time to visit and even when we do we can't all visit at the same time. And even our spring breaks aren't all at the same time and some of them are studying abroad. S this trip will be a great way for us to all be together and catch up and also celebrate our birthdays together in such a fun way. We can unwind from finals week before we have to all go to work or our internships for the summer. It is such a fun and exciting idea to go out and gamble and drink and just have a fun and relaxing time with your friends. I feel like after this year we should plan a trip every year after that!
