4/19/06 : First show with the Haack

The show at the Fat Bean was *awesome*. It went really smoothly and kevin really made it sound fuckin sweet. We ended up winning that night since it was a Battle of the Bands. I'll let you know whenever the next wound of the balle is. Until then we got 2 shows coming up one this weekend on aug. 11th at the house cafe and one at the fat bean oct 28th. hopefully we'll see ya there!

4/19/06 : WE'RE BACK!

Hey, once again sorry for the lack of updates, BUT! we have some major changes recently. We've added a new member, Kevin Haack, ex-member of Myllhouse (you may have heard of them). We've been busy adding 3rd guitar parts and vocals to all of our songs along with writing some sweet new ones so look out for that. We got a couple of shows coming up next weekend so make sure to check those out. Most likely our new member will be rawkin with us. See you there!!

3/25/06 : Rawk.

Last nights show was pretty shitty. NS Radio did a great job of not putting any forms of flyers in the news paper, or anywhere at all, so pretty much no one showed up (with the exception of our fans that came.) So fuck that. BUT on the other side of things, we got a great show coming up april 1st at wheaton community. Its a great line up and rock chicago records shows usually do very well. We're looking forward to it and seeing you all there! I must go now, the college night is calling my presence. Later kids, stay *awesome*.

2/19/06 : Rawk.

We had 2 geat shows this weekend. The first at The House Cafe and the other at Wheaton Grand Theater. The House show was a lot of fun, we all had a great time drinking and its was a sweet chilled setting. Sadly tokyo Rose dropped out of the April 11th show with us, but the good news is Park is now playing! Anyway our show at Wheaton Grand went very well, sad to know its closing down and that was our last show there. Props to Ludo for and amazing set last night and thanks to them for wearing our buttons on stage and dedicating a song to us. So again, thanks to all who came out and we'll see ya next weekend at Crossroads in Naperville!

2/06/06 : Updates

Well the show at NIU was really sweet thanks to all of you that came out and supported all the bands! The show has a nice article in the Northern Star newspaper so make sure to check that out! Props to all the other bands that performed because I was blown away by all of them and had a great time parting after. I'll make sure to set up another show like that again sometime soon. Also we got some new shows up at "The House" here in DeKalb. The House Cafe is a really sweet coffee shop/ lounge that sells beer and has a great stage and sound. Check em out! We're playign with Drive-Thru Records bands Tokyo Rose and Socratic! We also have out CD up for review on some magazines and also have been looking into some show offerings in Chicago. Thanks for all your support guys and make sure to keep listening and coming out to shows! STAY *AWESOME*!!!

1/25/06 : Updates

Hey guys, we got some news for you all and also a show comign up that we're all really excited for. First off, our next show is at NIU on Feb. 4th. All the details are under the "shows" section so check it out. We've been promoting it pretty hardcore at NIU so we're expecting a big turn out. Also we've been getting played on various radio stations lately. So make sure to listen to NS*radio and KWLC 1240am for best album by request out of all the albums they play everyday. 1/16/06 : *The Awesomes* on KWLC

I'd like everyone to know that *The Awesomes* album "Truth Time" has made the Top 30 (#25 to be exact) on radio KWLC 1240am. We have just made this spot and have been getting a fair amount of play on KWLC since the album has been out. "Kamakaze" has had the most votes hands down. These results are being send to the "College Music Journal." I'd thought I'd let all you guys know about it. I hope everyones doing good with heading back to school.

1/14/06 :Our best show yet.

We truely have all of you for making last nights show what it was. By pulling in between 400-500 people to Wheatland Salem, last night whas such a success and an unforgettable night for all of the bands there. I know *The Awesomes* has a great time. We sold a ton of cd's and other merch, also we were happy to be able to play the new song last night. Remember we have a show tonight, for all of you that werent able to make the show last night, you have one more chance until we head back to college. We'll still be playing shows for sure, but they'll be out of the area for the most part. Keep listenng and checking our myspace and website. We'll make sure to come back for more. Thanks for a great winter break guys, and most of all stay *awesome*.

12/21/05 :Well its been awhile...

Hey guys i'm really sorry I havent updated the site in a REALLY long time. Turns out at school I was partying with my roommate and we were pretty drunk and I ended up knocking a mug of beer all over my laptop and I had to buy a whole new computer which sucked ass. Luckily Apple was able to get all my data off my old one so i'm back and in buisness. Sorry again for the lack of updates. Anyway, thanks to all of you that came out to the fat bean and the stage 83 show. Both those shows were amazing and the after parties kicked a ton of ass. Make sure to come out to our shows on the 13th and 14th of January before we head back to school! Check the shows section for more details on that. 11/30/05 :We're done!!

We got done with the new demo in only 2 days!!! Its all up on purevolume and myspace now so make sure to check it out when ya can. The demo is called "Truth Time" and it has four songs on it 1. 11/28/05 :Our First day of recording and more...

Well we had our first day of recording today and let me tell ya, me and the rest of *the awesomes* had so much fun. It was a lot of work and but we were able to get all the instramental parts of four song done in 9 hours. It already sounds amazing unmixed and we are very excited to head back in the studio on Wednesday. I also want to thank all of you that came out to our show on Sat. again,it was a kick ass time and the after party was the SHIIIIIT!! haha I'll update you more on the recording and by our next show we'll have some sweet merch for ya. I also got the buttons, they look kick ass.LATER!!

11/26/05 :*the awesomes* show

The show last night was a lot of fun. It was pretty stressing in the beginning with the sound guy not showing up and a band dropping out, but thanks for sticking around and it was definitly worht it in the end. The next time you see us we'll have stickers, buttons, and our demo all ready to be sold. We;re going into the studio Monday and Wednesday all day and busting it out. We are very excited and ready to get our first demo out and will be adding one more song, "Kamakaze" to the demo. Remember to make it out to our December North Beach show on the 11th. It'll be a really kick ass show!! I hope you all had a great break and we'll see you in December hahaha LATER!!!!!

11/20/05 :*the awesomes* show

Fuck yeah guys, I want to thank all 114 of you that came out to see us last night. I was one great show with a lot of energy from the crowd which was *awesome* If you're not our friend on myspace, I want to remind you to get on that! Haha we'll have are songs up hopefully by the beginning of December. We'll only have a 3 song demo that were doing for now, but we'll come out with a full length I'm sure within the year. We'll also be getting our buttons and stickers soon so we'll finally have some merch. Make sure to come out to our next show on the Saturday the 26th of Nov. 10/25/05 :*the awesomes* RECORDING!.

*The Awesomes* are going to be recording a demo on the last week of Nov. We're recording at The Gallery of Carpet where The Academy Is..., The Hush and, The Audition have recorded at. It should turn out really well. We are recording the same 3 songs that are up on our myspace and purevolume now and they're gonna sound fuckin sweeeet!I'll let you know when its up.Also we have a new show on Nov. 19th in Naperville, IL. 10/21/05 :*the awesomes* ...are being shot at.

Well *The Awesomes* had a little photoshoot today in Chicago. The new main picture on the website is from it. All of it is thanks to Ryan Luciani (check out his band! http://myspace.com/chimeratwilight), he kicked ass with us all day. We took a lot of them on the subway and in China-town, they turned out really nice. So I should have a link up soon to a whole new picture secotion of the website. 10/11/05 : I've been eating in the back with the bitches.

First off, I really want to thank everyone who came to see us at the Elk Grove VFW. It was an amazing second show and were definitly getting tighter as we go. We also got a tape from the sound guy of a live recording from that show so were going to try to post songs up from that on myspace as soo as we can. Its not an amazing recording but its something. We dont know what were going to do recording wise, but hopefully we'll get something figure out soon. Anyway we have 2 other shows coming up as of now: Nov. 26th @ wheaton community center and Dec. 11th and north beach. Until then, keep checkign the site for updates and have a good week. Later bras!

YEAHHH BOIII!! We just want to thank everyone that came out to Benedictine University for our first show. It was a ton of fun and we cant wait for friday night. We are planning on recording and getting a demo done before November so definitly keep lookin out for that. I'll post on the news when we do. Well *The Awesomes* site is finally up and is more *awesome* then ever. I promise we'll be getting some recordings up soon, until then just bare with us and come to the shows so can hear some *awesome* rock. We do have a show at Benedictine University on October 15th.
